Meet The Team
The team here at Tipping & Webb all have something in common and that is each of us love our jobs and care deeply about our clients
We are Tipping & Webb
Although our advisers are dotted in and around Kent and our Office Manager is based in Milton Keynes, we are still all united via the Tipping & Webb values and have a fantastic group dynamic, which we think only adds to the unique sense of family and friendship that we share.
So, we would love you to read on and meet our team.

Amy Stokes
Director
Amy began her journey in financial services in 2007 as a mortgage adviser for a high-street bank. After gaining valuable industry experience and insights, she transitioned to independent advising in 2012, developing lasting relationships with a large, dedicated client base.
In 2021, Amy founded Tipping & Webb with a clear vision: to ensure every client receives personalised, reliable advice delivered with genuine warmth and character. She is the glue that holds our team together, and she takes pride in sharing these core values with the entire T&W team, creating an experience that is tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.
Well-known for her great sense of humour and contagious laugh, Amy brings positivity and smiles to everyone around her, making it nigh impossible not to love her.
Outside of the office, Amy loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Countryside walks are a must, as is staying active with weekly weight sessions. She is a dab hand at the piano and regularly tackles the heights at ‘Clip & Climb’ with her two young daughters.

Dan Philpott
Mortgage Adviser
With over a decade in financial services, Dan brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for helping clients. He expertly guides new and existing clients through the entire home-buying process, from the first consultation to the final steps, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
Dan is a man who truly loves his job, going above and beyond to address clients’ needs comprehensively, not just with mortgages but also by ensuring their homes and lifestyles are protected. He offers thorough insurance reviews, assists with solicitors, and provides expert advice on equity release, ensuring every aspect of his clients’ financial health is covered.
Full of energy and known for his down-to-earth nature, Dan’s calm approach and genuine care instantly put clients at ease – while his quick wit has the team in stitches on a daily basis.
Outside the office, Dan lives for the outdoors and an active life. He plays football for a local vets’ team, proudly sponsored by Tipping and Webb; enjoys weekly squash games with his dad and brothers; and relishes long coastal walks with his partner, often capped off with a good, hearty breakfast.

Lisa Howes
Mortgage Adviser
Lisa has been guiding clients through their mortgage needs since 2017, bringing over 20 years of experience in financial services, including roles at renowned firms like Moody’s Analytics and Liontrust Asset Management. She assists clients with all types of mortgages, focusing on building trust, simplifying the process, and saving them time and money.
Lisa is committed to ensuring her clients feel fully supported throughout the often complex mortgage journey. Having trained as a mortgage adviser while becoming a first-time mother, she has firsthand insight into the challenges homebuyers face at different stages of homeownership. This personal experience allows her to provide tailored, empathetic advice that goes beyond just numbers.
Genuinely kind, quietly witty, and always two steps ahead, Lisa is the kind of person every team wishes they had – a total gem who brings calm, clarity and care to everything she does.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, practicing Pilates and strength training, and indulging in the occasional night out or a well-deserved holiday

Stacey Lacey
Office Manager
Bringing a unique mix of enthusiasm, care and creativity to everything she does at Tipping & Webb, Stacey works behind the scenes to build relationships with partners, shape our brand voice, and manage our social media — playing a big part in helping the business grow and stay connected to our community.
With a professional background in business development, advertising and account management, Stacey launched her own virtual assistant business in 2020. The timing was perfect – Amy had just started Tipping & Webb and gave Stacey a call. The rest, as they say, is history.
With her easygoing nature and quietly cheeky sense of humour, Stacey Lacey (we promise that’s her real name) brings genuine warmth and personality to the team.
Stacey grew up in Shepherdswell, just across the road from Amy, but made the move to Milton Keynes in 2005. She now lives there with her husband and daughter and brings just as much energy to life outside the office as she does inside it. You’ll often find her lifting weights at the gym, belting out lyrics at a gig, or scrolling for the next sunny escape with her family.

Doug Young
Head of Financial Services
With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Doug, our Head of Financial Services, brings bags of expert, straightforward advice to the Tipping & Webb family on everything from Equity Release and Investments to Pensions and Wealth Management.
He’s the kind of person who takes the time to really get to know you, never rushing, always listening, and making sure every recommendation is the right fit for you and your circumstances.
Clients often say they feel instantly at ease with Doug, and it’s no surprise: his calm, thoughtful approach and effortless sense of humour make even the most complex topics feel that bit clearer and manageable.
Doug’s also got a knack for bringing big-picture thinking to the team by combining decades of knowledge (yep, we went there) with genuine warmth and a steady, grounded energy that everyone appreciates – not to mention a love for a good chat over a cuppa.
Outside the office, Doug’s just as active as he is at work. He is keen to support the local community having spent many years supporting junior hockey at Canterbury Hockey club as their junior chairman and is still a regular watching hockey or other sport. You’ll often find him teeing off on the golf course, enjoying family time with his Labradors in tow, or soaking up the local live music scene. He’s also a big fan of supporting local, independent coffee spots and restaurants, especially if there’s good food and great coffee involved.
